Felt really random. The California Penal Code Section 26 states that "Idiots" are one of six types of people who are not capable of committing crimes. In several states, "idiots" do not have the right to vote:
so heres a blogpost on Idiots.
"Idiot" was originally created to refer to "layman, person lacking professional skill", "person so mentally deficient as to be incapable of ordinary reasoning"
Over time, it evolved to mean people with overall lack of judgment or sense, synonymous with stupid.
In our local context, idiots are despised, whacked and laughed upon.
What makes a person an idiot?
Firstly, one is an idiot not because their grades suck, but because of their lack of social awareness. So, you can be a scholar yet be an idiot.
For example, you show off and do stupid things that people don't really care about.
Secondly, one is an idiot when they are obviously wrong, but insists otherwise and refuses to learn to admit to their weakness.
Thirdly, one is an idiot when they can't get they want, and they begin attacking that thing that they can't get. the Sour Grapes analogy, in other words.
But don't worry, you aren't an idiot until you refuse to acknowledge these facts.

Didn't do much today. Finished up my kinematics worksheet which was supposed to be hard, and was indeed abit hard. x.x
after that played abit of dota. at least didn't get owned much.
finished revision on rate of reaction! :D
