went sngs outing ytd....and it's a totally "worthy" experience...considering how one big gulp is $3.00, one nasi lemak is 4, one game goes for 5, and the haunted house costs 10. oh i forgot to mention that 1 ice popsicle is 1 dollar....

after that me and yubin went to bugis for some sgcafe outing. had a fun time =)

we met up at bugis station, some came in punk, some came in goth/lolita outfits, and then went to food junction to eat. den went to take neoprints, even tho i nvr take lol. den went to arcade for awhile...yoshinori treated us to bubble tea! like 20 cups sia... xD

took group photos outside ajisen ramen after that.

楽しいかった。。僕はもっとアウチンを希望する =)

another week

it's another week, and more shit has happened.

i am labelled an underachiever. yes. thats it. i am an underachiever! half of my class are.. in fact its half of the class + 1. so from now on i get to stay back from 2-4pm on tuesday and thursday to do my homework..yay.

i have finally established a clear path of who i want to be. i want to join the UN. i want to go to Japan to study. i want to fill up my portfolio. -.-

so that commences the string of events that happened, utilizing my passion for environmental efforts, i sought to join the progreen club to fulfill my dream, and also going to the zoo to help out for earth day!

anyway, i was surfing sgcafe.com, one of my favorite forums, and saw this..this is in no way linked to any company that soughts to capture young teens and fine them for downloading stuff...no. no. no. =)

check this site out..XEDO HOLOCAUST VIDEO

quite funny xD

Evangelion 1.0 と1000 Camels と 2 Holidays.

i finally found some time to update...so let's briefly summarize the whole week: Homework, homework..and more homework. Sec 4 life sucks. screw all the teachers that seem to hate me.

anyway we enjoyed our founder's day yesterday with a freaking 3 hours in the jc auditorium with 陈狗 standing behind - meaning we can't do anything. not sleep. not do homework. not listen to mp3. not anything except sitting there and rot. - while looking at everyone getting prizes. *yawns*
After that met up with yubin and yinn jiunn to go to coro and eat the usual - golden rooster. lemon chicken. etc etc - plus 2 onigiris that i bought at ntuc.

after that we went to cathay to watch the first of the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy: Evangelion 1.0: You are (Not) Alone.

Great anime movie! even though i never watched the original anime, i enjoyed this show as it is packed with deep ideas and great action. it really leads you to think unlike other mechas shows which focuses more on the action.

From wikipedia

"The film, on its opening weekend, took first place at the Japanese box office, with some 236,158 spending 280 million yen (about US $2.4 million) to watch it. This income can be considered unusual, considering the film was played at only 84 theaters in the country. [3]

The film's official news feed at Bandai Channel reported full houses and an applause from the fans at the film's theatrical premiere on September 1, 2007,[4].

In South Korea, Evangelion 1.0 was released on January 24, 2008.

In Singapore, Evangelion 1.0 was released on March 13, 2008 . However at one of Singapore forum on ACG culture, http://sgcafe.com, few of the anime fans expressed that the trailer for the next film was omitted from the film. Many anime fans waiting for the trailer after the credits rolled, did not catch it in the end.

[5]

Evangelion 1.0 will be released in Hong Kong on April 3, 2008.

It received the 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair award for anime of the year; Anno received best director"

you all should watch it. its really good ^^

Btw. i was one of the few taht stayed to watch the trailer. AND IT GOT CUT! DAMN YOU!

after taht we went to watch a highly abstract dance show forced onto me by dear Hwachong institution called 1000 camels. it is a highly confusing show with no apparent storyline or characters and seem to try to tell me that the dancers are from The Jungle Book.

and i counted 42 camels.

utter waste of 14dollars. they should have told us to go to watch evangelion instead >.>

On a side note, more anime coming in april! highly anticipated ones are haruhi suzumiya season 2, code geass season 2, and other new animes coming up!

gotta watch them all, anime!

band camp and global warming

So... i am back from band camp!

lots of fun activities took place.. and we are more bonded as a band! ( or so i like to think )

Day 1/

We had nothing much special today. Prac from 8-12..and den from 2-6. den its dinner, bunch of ice-breakers games that i seen too much of ( whacko and the likes of it ) and then free time and sleep..yawns

Day 2/
Most of the fun took place today. morning was outdoor pracs...but me and jichao had history remedials so we were excused ^^

by the time our lessons ended, prac was over...the last prac for the day xD

Then was section outing! we went to cineleisure to supposedly watch movie, but after seeing the 112525289020835029348 people that were there..( we met daoyi and his friends + daoyuan and his friends + some jc seniors -.- ) we decided to go LAN gaming ^^ and there we spent 2 hours gaming...which i shall delve into

Then we had dinner and then movie screening...which us clarinets thought too little of, and decided to go shopping at coronation's ntuc XD we then had a little party outside the band room, complete with snacks, music and variations of 终极密码,which included stripping ( jiahong, jichao and tzehan got it) and putting sour skittles in your mouth and holding it there for 20secs >.<

Day 3/
Today was section competition..and we clarinets got 2nd =D which exempts us from carrying the auxillary xD

after that was the exchange with CGS and TKSS. due to a series of unfortunate events, we didn get to talk to cGS at all, thus voiding our exchange totally. but we did have fun with TKSS. so it wasn that bad.

overall it wasn't that boring xD

as proven by the whole week's worth of rain, global warming has officially hit singapore and delayed our monsoon by 3 months...zomg!

maybe in 2 years time Apocalypse really will hit the world...let's pray =|

currently catching up to all the Animes i missed ... shakugan no shana, spice and wolf, clannad, kimi ga aruji de shitsuji ga ore de, kimikiss pure rouge, majin tantei nougami neuro, etc etc..

feeling melancholy as the ending of several anime series nears..

More MasSelamat and life.

Found this on talkingcock.com...

"Maybe we can catch this fella faster if we acted like all those criminal psychologists on TV and tried to “think like him”. So we did, and here’s what we came up with: THINGS ON THE ESCAPED TERRORIST’S TO DO LIST

1. Check 2 years’ worth of email.

2. Send out some ‘Change of Address’ notices.

3. Get a hot shower after having to escape through that toilet.

4. Catch up on all those episodes of ‘Lost’ I’ve stored on my DVR.

5. Pitch to MediaCorp my idea for a new reality show: “Who Wants to Marry the Country’s Most Wanted Man”.

6. Call up CMPB and apply for exit permit.

7. Log on to Facebook and:

a. change status update from ‘Selamat is meeting family today’ to ‘Selamat is hiding in a sewer somewhere until the coast is clear’.

b. update my profile picture to reflect my new disguise.

c. poke Osama.

8. Clarify to the press that it’s my LEG that’s limp. LEG!

9. Now that I’m out, I can hantam the smart-asses in my cell group who started referring to me in my absence as “Lim Peh” and added all those ‘Limp Bizkit’ songs to my iPod.

10. Forward my Her World subscription to my new address.

11. Write a novel chronicling my escape to Indonesia: “From First World to Third”

12. Finally get to use soft toilet paper, not the type at Whitley Road that’s so bleddy tough, you can make a rope with it to climb out the window.

13. Send Wong Kan Seng a postcard from Pekan Baru."

An Ode to the Escaped Terrorist
by Edwin Bumboat, poet nauseate of TalkingCock.com

He said he
Want to poot-poot
Instead he
Quickly cabut
They thought he
Went to berak
But now he
Oh, alamak!
Probably
Is in Perak
What to do?
Our boys in blue
Boo hoo hoo
So damn malu!"

And we aren't the only ones laughing....i have a feeling he is laughing at the joke that is singapore "airtight" security and "security lapses". L.O.L.

Anyway, the previous post's movie is officially over. he's rumored to have already reached the land of Indonesia. >.>

IT Fair yesterday was okay...perhaps cos i went on the first day, so its kinda crowded and stuff liddat. Took up 2 lvls worth of 4 expo halls each!! somemore the whole corridor outside got sony exhibition sia.

got my ipod touch and psp slim there...psp slim totally sucks compared to the old psp. It has a missing pair of speakers and its umd case is manual somemore! screw that thief that stole my psp last month....

Ipod Touch (AKA Iphone-less) is kind of novel, and its fun too! however the best thing is that it can be downgraded and can play homebrew as well! all u need is a wifi network!

--------------------------

Just watched hayate no gotoku 48 and kimikiss 21..haven't catched D gRay Man 73, but know the storyline from the manga anyway....

and it's the time of the season again...=/ the time when many nice anime series start ending and moving towards their conclusion, like kimikiss, Hayate to gotoku, and lots more =/

lucky next season got haruhi suzumiya's new season + code geass to look forward to, as well as a whole bunch of promising animes! xD

The Great Escape

March 04 2008 - Just another day.

What am i looking forward to? What do i want? i don't really know myself. Even when i plan my future, i still can't understand myself.

Lets get off the gloomy stuff, and talk about the day..

HIJACK was quite okay, we discussed a lot of business trends and market trends, and several useful principles like the pareto principle of 80%/20%, 80% of the profit is reaped from 20% of the work, and the rest of the 20% of the profit comes from 80% of the time. We also learnt The Long Tail, a tail of a legendary dragon that is said to provide immortality a trend in the global market at hand. Its's basically all about IT business and stuff. Real fun.

need to cut my hair by today, since i got caught by like 5 teachers and still haven't got on the hook. apparently it was my fate to slip past that spot check for hair and stuff xD

Gosh, i am in total melancholy.. i wonder why.

the IT show is this weekend..march 6-9. anyone want to go? got 2 ppl le.

True Tears 9 and Shigofumi 8 are both great. Lucky for me, there wasn't any incest after all. Hiromi and Shinichiro are not related..phew.. Meanwhile in shigofumi, we see a mad father and that the main character Mikawa had 2 personalities, and when she shot her father, she went crazy and one of her personalities went into coma while the other broke from her body to become a letterman for the letters of the dead.

If only life was anime....but sadly it can't happen =/

i am probably just talking to myself here...but it's a good start.

Thought rubiks cube is out? think again.

So today we had outdoors marching for band in the morning. thank god it rained.
Rain + outdoors = indoors ^^

After that we went to KAP for lunch. On the bus, we saw some amazing things..

just because we haven't seen rubik's cube that much for this year doesn't means it died out. as you can see from here, we have 2 hardcore cubers -.-

At the end of the first video, we see his head tilting up. apparently he nosebled from cubing too much..LOL

Meanwhile, in singapore, the escaped JI leader has yet to be caught. Go Go Singa-Rangers. Gotta Catch him Now, Pokemon Singapore! I shall not comment anymore on this incident. the government is probably thinking hard now...

Today on released anime fansubs..
D Gray Man 72
Clannad 19
Persona: Trinity Soul 8
H2O: footprints in the sand 9
Dragonaut 21
and a bunch of others...

if you think that i have been ignoring Naruto and Bleach, yes i am. since they are essentially 2 animes with the same storyline in alternate universes.

Gonna start watchin em now..
-------------------

Next week is The Last Supper Week before the holidays! And what a coincidence, its our sabbatical week as well! i joined some Business Course called HIJACK, which is taught by an external vendor. Hope that it would be fun and end before 1.00pm.

that is about all the crap i have to talk about today...

Until next time.

There's nothing i look forward to in this bleek, fleeting life.
